From Pay Gaps to Progress: Why We Started Dyneri

We are Dyneri.

Founded by two Latina MBA students at Wharton. We launched in 2021 on Latina Equal Pay Day because of its significance to us as Latina business women.

Latina Equal Pay Day is the day when Latina pay catches up to that of white men from 2020. Latinas typically earn only 57 cents for every dollar earned by non-Hispanic white men and must work nearly 23 months to earn what white men earn in 12 months. A Latina would need to work until she is nearly 90 years old—eight years beyond her life expectancy—to catch up to her white male peer’s lifetime earnings that he attained by age 60. Latinas deserve to be recognized and compensated fairly.

We believe in equity and democratizing access to financial resources and education. We want to see our community thriving, and we are committed to uplifting it. Latina Equal Pay Day is emblematic of our company’s belief and commitment to the historically underserved US Hispanic market.

We are the only culturally focused platform connecting consumers to reputable financial education and products helping Hispanics thrive financially.

  1. Let’s take the first steps toward financial empowerment: set up a savings account, create a budget, or explore investment options. We’re here to help and serve as a resource for our community.
